About us

Welcome to the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation: Ofqual. We regulate qualifications, examinations and assessments in England and vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland. It is our duty to ensure all learners get the results they deserve and that their qualifications are correctly valued and understood, now and in the future.

Changes to the way we regulate

We are changing the way in which we regulate awarding organisations and their qualifications to deliver the expectations placed on us in the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009.

The Register

The Register of Regulated Qualifications contains details of organisations and qualifications we regulate. It replaces the previous National Database of Accredited Qualifications (NDAQ).
